ANDALSNES, NORWAY

Experience one of Norway’s most beautiful valleys with a train ride from Åndalsnes.

Starting from Åndalsnes we follow the River Rauma, passing between Mount Romsdalshorn, Trolltindane and close to Trollveggen (on our return journey we have a photo stop here.)

Continuing along the Rive Rauma we cross the Kylling Bridge reaching the station of Bjorli where we change from train to coach.

Onboard the coach we travel down the valley reaching Trollwall for a photo stop. We stop for lunch on top of the mountain and then continue towards the village of Valldal, along the way we pause at the roaring Gudbrandsjuvet River Gorge. From Valldal, we continue along the fjord towards Ålesund, returning to our ship.

TOUR NOTES: There is a short walk (approximately 100 metres) from the ship to the train station and a high step to board the train. There is also some walking involved when we change from train to coach. Walking at the photo stops is optional. Please note that this tour includes a journey with hairpin bends, therefore it may not be suitable for passengers who suffer from vertigo.
