ST GEORGE'S, BERMUDA
Our tour today will allow us to familiarise ourselves with both St. George’s – a world heritage site – and St. David’s.
Our first stop will be at the centuries old Fort St Catherine, where we will be able to view the replicas of Britain’s Crown Jewels. Next, we will continue onto St. David’s, where we will have a short photo stop at St. David’s Lighthouse. En route back to our awaiting ship we will also view Carter House, which is believed to be the oldest dwelling in St. David’s. Carter House was built in 1640 by a crewmember of the Sea Venture, which was wrecked on Bermuda’s reefs in 1609.
TOUR NOTES - Please note that Caribbean coasters and 6-seater taxis may be used as the transport for this tour. Our driver will also act as our guide. Please note that if we use the coasters as transport, there will be approximately 2 steps to negotiate, unfortunately this mode of transport is unable to accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. We will spend approximately 20 minutes at St Catherine’s Fort where we will have to negotiate steps, cobblestones and concrete paths.
