On this tour we will get the chance to admire the natural beauty of the Southern Coast of the Crimea. We will visit the Alupka Park with its sunny glades, small waterfalls and swan ponds. The magnificent Alupka park, laid out in the mid 19th century as a traditional English park, today strikes one’s imagination with mature trees and an abundance of vegetation. It stretches down to the sea from the southern façade of the palace, harmoniously matching the natural landscape. In the corner of the park we will see the so called “Big Chaos” – a natural stone mess of magmatic origin. The mazes will lead us to the Alupka Palace, constructed in Tudor style for the nobleman Count Mikhail Voronstov in 1848. From Alupka Park our coach will take us to another green thesaurus – Nikitsky Botanical Gardens. Here we will find ourselves surrounded by exotic species, introduced from all five continents. There are around 50,000 different species, varieties, forms and hybrids of plants. During our guided walking tour down the gardens paths we will be fascinated by weeping cedars, madronos, blooming roses and a thousand year old Pistachio tree. Established in 1812, the Botanical Gardens today are one of the must see attraction in the Ukraine. A photo stop at the unusual Swallow’s Nest will also be made. The order of stops may vary. Please note this tour involves over 3 hours of walking. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. This tour is not suitable for passengers with limited mobility.
