We are invited to enjoy the best of both worlds, as this tour encompasses all the highlights of Miami and Miami beach via our tour coach, followed by a scenic cruise of Biscayne Bay, passing the homes and mansions of the rich and famous.During our scenic drive we will pass through the heart of downtown Miami and the towering skyscrapers of the financial district along Brickell Avenue. We will also be able to explore Miami’s Cuban heritage as we make our way down ‘Calle Ocho’ and into the heart of little Havana. Our tour will then continue onto Historic Coconut Grove, home to a number of popular festivals, sidewalk cafes and endless street life. We shall be able to admire the glitz and glamour of South Beach and the unique Art deco district, before arriving at Bayside Market Place where we will board our vessel for a relaxing and informative 90-minute tour of Miami’s Biscayne Bay.On the water we will first pass the Port of Miami, the ‘cruise capital of the World’ where we will have an excellent photo opportunity of our ship. Our boat then heads to Fisher Island for a closer look at the multi-million dollar homes owned by the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Boris Becker, Mel brooks, Ann Bancroft, Paul Newman and Florida Governor, Jeb Bush.Cruising by Star Island, we can peek into the backyards of Rosie O’Donnell’s and Gloria Estefan’s estates. Other properties of interest include the honeymoon cottage of Elizabth Taylor and Eddie Fisher and the house used in the film ‘The Specialist’ starring Sharon Stone and Sylvester Stallone. On Palm Island we will practically be able to peer into the guardhouse at Al Capone’s old abode.As we make our way back to Bayside, we shall enjoy fantastic views of Miami’s famous skyline. Please note that our boat journey may not be exclusive to Fred. Olsen Cruise Line passengers. We will need to negotiate a deep step in order to both board and disembark the boat. For your reference, the boat will be covered and there will be toilet facilities available. A snack bar will be available onboard the boat if you wish to purchase any refreshments. Don’t forget your camera!
