Departing from the quayside, we will travel to the fishermen’s village of Bayahibe, where rapid boomerang boats are waiting to take us to the most beautiful natural swimming pool of the Southern Caribbean area. Here crystal shallow waters invite us to take a swim during our short stop.Then it is on to the paradise-like island of Saona, part of the Eastern National park. This protected area is one of the most beautiful parts of the island. Upon our arrival we will be invited to enjoy a typical Caribbean lunch, prepared for us on the big beach barbecues and all accompanied by swinging Latin music!In the afternoon a 60-foot race catamaran will take us on an approximate 2 hour relaxed sailing trip back to the village of Bayahibe, where our tour coach will be waiting to take us back to our ship.An unforgettable day at one of the Dominican Republic’s dream islands!Please note that this tour is not considered suitable for passengers using wheelchairs. If you wish to take a swim, come already wearing your swimming costume and don’t forget your towel. Sun cream, sunglasses and a sun hat are all advisable. There is a moderate amount of walking involved in this tour and approximately 2 steps will be encountered when boarding the boomerang and approximately 3 steps when boarding the Catamaran. The catamaran will be anchored just off the Saona Island, therefore we will need to embark upon a small motorboat to take us to the catamaran – A certain degree of mobility will be required as passengers will need to transfer from the motorboat to the Catamaran. Both the Boomerang and the Catamaran will not be covered. There will not be any toilet facilities onboard the Boomerang, however there will be facilities on the Catamaran and Saona Island. Lunch will be a barbecue buffet and a limited amount of drinks will be included.
