CASTRIES, ST LUCIA

Our tour will begin with a short transfer to Rodney Bay. Upon our arrival, we shall receive a safety briefing and a short kayaking lesson before our sea kayaking adventure begins!

Due to the calm waters and the relatively short distance to paddle (we will be on the sea for approximately 30 minutes), this tour is ideal for novices. Throughout our journey, our guide will tell us all about the interesting history of the area, from the days of the pirates to the occupation of Rodney Bay.

Upon our arrival at Pigeon Island, we will have some free time to enjoy the small beach, snorkel, continue kayaking or explore the ruins of the 18th century British fortifications and the small museum. We will be invited to enjoy refreshments before returning to our kayaks and making our way back to Rodney Bay where we shall be transferred by mini van or open army jeeps back to our awaiting ship.

TOUR NOTES: Passengers must be physically capable to kayak for approximately 30 minutes. The kayaks used will be two-person kayaks; the weight limit is 200 pounds per person. Children must be at least 12 years of age to participate and must be accompanied by an adult. Passengers will be required to sign an insurance waiver before starting this tour. We recommend you come already wearing your swimsuit under casual clothing and do not forget your towel and adequate sun protection. It is possible to purchase additional refreshments and snacks on Pigeon Island. Snorkelling during our free time will be guided.
