BERGEN, NORWAY
Experience the landscape by train for our journey up towards Voss and Mydral, before changing trains for the spectacular “Flams-banen” railway line.
TOUR NOTES: This tour involves only a little walking, however to get the most from this tour uneven, sloping ground, gravel and steps are encountered. There is a high step to board the train at both stations. It is not recommended for wheelchair passengers, due to the boarding of the train, and the changing from platform to platform. Please note that it can seem a very long and busy day, so do bear this in mind when choosing this tour. The seats on the train will be reserved for us, but the whole group will not usually sit together, rather in smaller groups. For the scenic Flåm journey, we would politely ask that passengers refrain from standing to take photographs, as this blocks the view for other passengers. A commentary may be given for part of the journey, however please note that it is difficult to hear if the carriage windows are open. A warm jumper or jacket is advisable, as we will be travelling at height. Please note this tour includes a journey with hairpin bends and also several tunnels, therefore it may not be suitable for passengers who suffer from vertigo or claustrophobia. There are no afternoon refreshments included, so you may wish to bring a bottle of water. The tour may operate in reverse, with the journey to Flåm by coach, and return by train.
