La Roqueta is a lush green private island off the coast, the biggest among those outside the bay, from which there are spectacular panoramic views of the Acapulco skyline from afar and the clear, cool Pacific Ocean. We will reach it – a short journey of approximately 30 minutes – by glass-bottom boat, having been enchanted with tales of the history and culture of Acapulco throughout the ages.Upon our arrival to the island, we will have an opportunity to enjoy a guided tour through the flora & Fauna that makes up this ecological reserve. On our return we will have the chance to truly relax in this hidden resort. With our guide, we will don our snorkelling equipment and be taken to a magical underwater world.Following our snorkelling experience and within the warm ambience of a unique restaurant we will be served a Mexican buffet lunch before returning to Acapulco by glass-bottom boat, with fond memories of our day.There will be a walk from our ship to the boarding place of the glass-bottom boat. There is also walking involved at La Roqueta, including 20-40 steps. The paths and walkways at La Roqueta are natural and concrete paths, some may be covered with moss which will make the paths quite slippery when wet. Passengers are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring along, sun cream, sunglasses, swimming costumes and a towel. The minimum age for participation in this tour is 10 years of age. The beach at La Roqueta is only small.
