SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

We will be shown around the city, taking in the history of the Opera House and many of the other famous buildings around the harbour foreshore before travelling across to the Eastern Suburbs, where we shall see some of the best real estate in the area.

Our tour will take in the best features of this fantastic city; the harbour; the gardens; the coast and the rivers. Our tour begins amongst the historical Rocks area of old Sydney where we shall learn about the early settlers and the convicts of over 200 years ago. We will be shown around the city, taking in the history of the Opera House and many of the other famous buildings around the harbour foreshore before travelling across to the Eastern Suburbs, where we shall see some of the best real estate in the area. Next we will travel over the world famous Harbour Bridge and into the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. This park is where the Hawkesbury River meets the sea; a tight cluster of secretive, winding creeks, sheltered beaches hidden coves and wide expanses of deep blue water are waiting to be discovered. We’ll find heathlands on the sandstone ridges, dense forests on the slopes, and mangroves on the tidal mudflats. The park’s scenic beauty is combined with a rich Aboriginal heritage and a strong sense of history. It’s hardly surprising that millions of walkers, boaters, swimmers and picnickers have visited this iconic Sydney Park since it opened in 1894.We will stop and enjoy a light lunch at the picturesque Akuna Bay before making our way to some of the outstanding lookout points in the park. The fantastic views of Palm Beach, Woy Woy and Lion Island are simply breathtaking. A short bushwalk will help us trace the history of the Garingai Aboriginal people whom once inhabited this area and examine their incredible rock art. Following our bush walk, we shall re-join our coach and head out of the park returning to our awaiting ship via the Northern Beaches. Please note that the vehicles used for this tour will usually accommodate between 4 and 6 passengers, however depending upon numbers booked, slightly larger vehicles may be used. Our Bush Walk will take approximately 30 minutes and the walking will be over a relatively flat compacted dirt path. There may be some stairs to negotiate, depending on which route is taken. Refreshments included with lunch include Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks and Water.
