OLDEN, NORWAY

We shall walk up to the Kjenndalen Glacier – part of the mighty Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Europe – for a fantastic view. Back onboard the coach, we journey to Kjenndalen Mountain Lodge for well-deserved refreshments.

Departing the quayside by coach, we travel along the fjord until we arrive at Loen. From Loen we continue to Kjenndalen Valley for a walk up to the Kjenndalen Glacier. Back onboard the coach, we journey to Kjenndalen Mountain Lodge for refreshments.

The next part of the tour is by boat with a cruise down the Lovatnet Lake to Sande. This should take 45 minutes and from Sande a coach takes us back to Olden and our ship.

TOUR NOTES: Sensible footwear and warm clothing should be worn for the 20 minute walk to and from the glacier, which is on relatively flat but uneven ground (the path is narrow and may be slippery). This tour is unsuitable for passengers with limited mobility or wheelchair users. There are three steps to board the boat. Please note that there may not be cover for everyone onboard the boat, again warm clothing it essential. It should be noted that passengers on the outer deck of the boat might not be able to hear the PA system. There are toilet facilities onboard. It is possible the itinerary will operate in a reverse order. Please note this tour may not operate on all calls into Olden.
