Jurong Bird Park is a 20 hectare, open concept park, which is the largest Bird Park in the Asia Pacific region. We will be fascinated by its collection of more than 8,000 birds from over 600 species. It is thought to be among the largest collections of its kind in the world.Take a ride on the air-conditioned Panorail, enjoying a panoramic view of the park, to a world of jungle mists at the Waterfall Aviary. Here we can enjoy a close-up view of free flying birds from Africa and South America, in a tropical setting. The Waterfall Aviary is the world’s largest walk-in aviary, 2 hectares in size, and has the highest man-made waterfall, at over 30 metres (98 feet).We can see the spectacular Penguin Parade, where more than 200 of these adorable creatures live. There is an underwater viewing gallery, so we can view their exploits in greater detail. The five species kept here are the Humboldt, Rockhopper, Macaroni, Fairy and majestic King Penguin.The all-star bird show at Jurong is reputed as world class, and features a variety of feathered friends, including cockatoos, macaws, flamingos, pelicans and hornbills.Please note that there is a lot of walking and standing involved in this tour, including some steps to negotiate. The all-star Bird Show is dependent upon favourable weather conditions.
