PORT ANTONIO, JAMAICA

Enjoy the incredible architecture that Jamaica has to offer.

From the dock, our tour will take us to the Titchfield Peninsular. Continuing into the countryside, our drive will take us along the coast to Long Bay Beach and Fisherman’s park for a spectacular view, especially with a northerly blowing. The beach is beautiful but dangerous for swimming because of an unpredictable undertow. We will stop for a refreshing drink at the ‘Chill out’ beach bar and restaurant before a stop at the famous Boston Jerk center for a taste of the jerk fare which is prepared along the roadway.

Departing Boston, we will be taken to Jamaica Palace Hotel. The owner of the Palace is the former developer and owner of the Trident Castle, the reputed German Baroness.

The majestic appearance of the structure is complemented by a neo-Palladian confection of white columns and marble floors with a swimming pool in the shape of the island of Jamaica. Other palatial accents include two luxurious boutiques elaborate spacious layout and elegantly furnished rooms with high ceilings and elliptical peacock beds and two white Cockatoos, a truly perfect integration into the lush tropical surroundings of Port Antonio. Weather permitting, refreshments will be taken at the pool bar before the return drive to the town. Enroute we will stop for a walk through history, along narrow streets lined with buildings from another era, the final stop will be at the neo-Romanesque Anglican stone church that was built in 1840. The church is predominantly a brick structure with stone and masonry used for decorative purposes.

TOUR NOTES: Please note that this tour involves a moderate amount of walking over some uneven ground and inclines. Several steps will be encountered. Do not forget to bring your sun protection.
