At Market Square, we board a private sightseeing boat for a cruise of approximately 90 minutes. The tour will take us to the magnificent Helsinki archipelago where we can enjoy the beauty of nature, pretty beaches and historical sights only a few kilometres from the city centre – an experience to add to our overall impression of this lovely area. We shall see a unique urban archipelago, with waterfront saunas and old villas, and pass the Suomenlinna fortification islands and the zoo. A guide will be on hand to enlighten us with the interesting history of Helsinki. Coffee or tea and a cake will be available onboard. After a relaxing time, our tour concludes. We have the option of staying at the Market Square and making our own way back to our ship, or returning straight to our ship by coach.
It is likely that there will be a coach transfer to/from the boarding place of the boat. There will be a walk of approximately 100-300 metres (300-1,000 feet) to embark/disembark the tour coach, and a walk of approximately 50 metres (165 feet), over some cobblestones, to embark/disembark the boat. There are steps to get in to and out of the boat. Please note that the place of boarding may change. Toilet facilities are available onboard, and there is cover should it rain, but the boat is not air-conditioned. Passengers choosing to remain at the Market Square after the tour will return to the ship at their own expense.
