Boarding our helicopter, we fly over Castries Harbour before journeying to the south of the island. We will be able to view the picturesque fishing villages of Anse La Raye and Canaries, the golden beaches and the lush banana plantations from the air before reaching the highlight of the tour – the striking Pitons, rising 760 metres (2,500 feet) out of the Caribbean waters! We will also see the unique volcanic Sulphur Springs, with steam rising from the bubbling crater! Mountainous terrain, tropical rainforests and the quaint town of Soufriere pass below as we swing back round towards Castries. An opportunity not to be missed!
TOUR NOTES: Please note that the helicopter’s propellers are likely to be turning as you board, however there are ground crews to assist you. There will be a steep step to negotiate in order to board the helicopter. It is possible that a commentary may not be given during the flight. Although you may not be seated directly next to a window, all passengers should enjoy a good view. Don’t forget your camera! Driving time to and from the helipad is approximately ten minutes depending on traffic. The pilot will make the final decision on seating arrangements.
