Leaving San Sebastian we take the north road towards the National Park of Garajonay. A stop will be made at a viewpoint overlooking the very typical village of Hermigua.
Leaving San Sebastian we take the north road towards the National Park of Garajonay. A stop will be made at a viewpoint overlooking the very typical village of Hermigua. We proceed in a southerly direction into the breathtaking park. On our decent towards the coastline, we will pass through the village of Alajero before we arrive at the Jardin Tecina Hotel, which overlooks the village of Playa de Santiago. The hotel is beautifully situated in the hillside above the cliffs. Upon arrival, refreshments will be served on the lovely terrace or in one of the lounges. After resting a short while we shall set off on a short walk through the unique hotel grounds. We will no doubt be impressed by the abundance of colourful flowers and plants, which seem like an oasis in this otherwise rocky and arid landscape. On our return to San Sebastian, if time permits, a stop is made on the hillside above the capital, for an opportunity to take a photo of our ship and San Sebastian – a lasting memory of our trip around this Canary Island. This tour involves a moderate amount of walking, mostly over flat, even ground, however in the gardens of the Hotel the ground may be uneven in places. If passengers do not wish to participate on the walk around the gardens it is possible to have free time in the hotel. Please note that this tour does travel along often, steep, winding roads and may not be suitable for passengers who suffer from vertigo.
