Explore ‘Saga Island’, and the picturesque Godøy, part of the community of the four islands of Giske.
The visit to Giske first stops at Giske church which dates back to 1150. From Giske we drive to the pretty little fishing village of Alnes, taking a short break at Alnes lighthouse for refreshements in a nearby café.
We then rejoin the coach for the journey back to our awaiting ship, stopping en-route on Alaska mountain.
TOUR NOTES: There is a 200 metre (650 feet) uphill walk from where the coach stops to the Alnes Lighthouse and the nearby café – this is difficult for wheelchairs. There are also a couple of steps to negotiate at Giske Church. It is possible to climb the lighthouse in Alnes, which has 80 steps. There may be a chance to purchase souvenirs.
