Leaving the ship behind us we will head for the hills. Leaving the paved roads in our wake as our driver put the 4x4 skilfully through its off-road paces before arriving at the peaceful retreat of the Dumbea River.

The river lazily winds its way through the mineral rich hills where both the eucalyptus forests and indigenous flora contrast with the predominantly red soil and the deep green hues of the river. Making a stop by the river will give us the opportunity to swim in the cool, clear waters or just relax by the smooth river stones of the river banks.

We will the return back to the port in our 4x4 vehicles.

TOUR NOTES: The terrain that will be covered will be very rocky at times and you could be bumped about, therefore this tour is not suitable for passengers suffering from back conditions or pregnant ladies. There will be no toilet facilities available on this tour. Don’t forget your swimming costume and a towel.
