ROATAN ISLAND, HONDURAS
An exciting opportunity to interact with dolphins!
We will be transferred by boat to the Institute for Marine Sciences, in the new Osgood Cay, that provides the backdrop for this once-in-a-lifetime encounter. Firstly we will be briefed and then accompanied by qualified and experienced staff for our unforgettable experience of a lifetime. We will be able to actually touch and play with the dolphins in waist-deep water. Following the dolphin encounter, we will have time to spend at the photo and souvenir shop and wade into the water from a beautiful crystal-clear water bay, teeming with colourful fish. A beautiful beach and a new swimming pool are available with “complimentary long-chairs” for our guests, for approximately two hours of free time.
TOUR NOTES: Please note that the group of participating passengers will be split and each smaller group of 6-8 passengers will have around 15-20 minutes to interact with the dolphins, each group at a different time. The rest of the time, before or after the encounter, can be spent looking around at the shop, beach and swimming pool. This tour involves some walking, around 100 metres (300 feet), and about 20 steps but there is disabled access. Come already wearing your swimming costume, and bring a towel. Photographs capturing our magical moment are available for sale priced $15-20 (correct at time of printing). Pregnant ladies should not participate in this tour and children should be 5 years or over. For the safety of the dolphin, do not wear jewellery, watches or suntan lotion in the water. Please be aware that while dolphins used for this tour are very carefully trained we must also bear in mind that they are wild animals, therefore please act with caution.
