ST JOHN'S, ANTIGUA
Departing from the quayside, we shall have a short drive to Hodges Bay Club where we shall join our boat for a brief ten minute transfer to our private and secluded island for the day, Prickly Pear Island. The island is Antigua’s oldest owner-operated excursion, now in its 36th year and is one of Antigua’s best-kept secret hideaways.During our time on Prickly Pear Island we may like to take a dip in the crystal clear waters, or we may prefer to take part in some snorkeling – there will be staff on hand who know every inch of the islands reef and will be able to take us through the reef on a mesmerising underwater tour.
Alternatively, we may simply wish to take a walk along the white sands and soak up the sun whilst enjoying a drink and snack from the open bar. Once relaxed, a typical Caribbean lunch will be served.
After lunch, we will be able to enjoy a second descent into the sea for further exploration of the underwater wonders surrounding this island or we can just relax in the sun and work on our tan. This is an ideal opportunity to enjoy the Caribbean as it used to be, peaceful and tranquil – don’t forget to bring your camera to record your wonderful memories!
TOUR NOTES: We recommend you come already wearing your swimming costume and don’t forget your towel and sun protection. Sun chairs, umbrellas and snorkeling equipment are all available for our complimentary use. Toilet facilities are also available during our time on the island. We kindly request that extra due care and attention is taken when swimming and snorkeling and we strongly advise against drinking alcohol should you wish to swim or snorkel.
