PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO
Our tour will allow us to explore the world famous Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, one of the most important and exciting archaeological sites on the American continent, and home to one of the great Mayan empires.
These awe-inspiring monuments were left as a reminder of the incredible Mayan culture. Our English-speaking guide will have approximately three hours to escort us through this legendary city, which extends over six square miles and contains hundreds of structures throughout the area.
We will have the opportunity to visit the Pyramid of Kulkulcan, which is now one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the largest best preserved Mayan Ball Court, the mystical Cenote where human sacrifices were performed, the Temple of the Warriors and the Observatory, where Mayan priests accurately calculated celestial events from over a million year span.
Once our tour has concluded, we shall return to our awaiting ship in Cozumel.
