ROSEAU, DOMINICA

Our tour today will take us on an approximate 15-minute transfer south of Roseau, through the picturesque village of Pointe Michel to Irie Safari’s watersports facility at Champagne.

Champagne is Dominica’s premier snorkelling site and rates amongst the top five-snorkelling sites within the Caribbean.

Underwater geo-thermal springs vent gasses in the form of thousands of warm bubbles, giving us the feeling of swimming through a giant glass of Champagne. And that’s not all – the reef here is quite spectacular, we can expect to see a myriad of sea life including sponges, lobster, parrot fish and a resident population of Hawksbill turtles.

Upon our arrival at Irie Safari’s watersports centre, we will be fitted with our snorkelling equipment and given a safety briefing and an orientation of the facility and the adventure that awaits us on the reef.

After our snorkelling experience, we can enjoy the comfort and convenience of the centre’s showers and changing rooms, gift shop and sun deck overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea, before returning to our awaiting ship.
