From the pier in Castries we board buses for the drive to Rodney Bay Marina, which will take approximately 30 minutes. At the marina, the semi-submarine Aquabulle awaits to take us on an intimate exploration of the underwater world of St Lucia. Seated in the boat’s sheltered but open-air viewing area, we head out passing the coastline of lush green mountains to Barella Beef Rock. Here we descend into Aquabulle’s air-conditioned, transparent hull to enjoy the fascinating marine environment alive with tropical fish and coral life – a spectacle not to be missed! Sitting up to one-and-a-half metres (five feet) below the water’s surface, we will have panoramic views of the depths of the Caribbean Sea through large windows. Please note that there are 7 steps to negotiate onboard the semi-submarine, to descend into the hull. What marine life may be seen is obviously unpredictable, as is the clarity of the water at the time of our call. We will be cruising for approximately 90 minutes on the northwestern tip of St Lucia. Not recommended for passengers who suffer from claustrophobia. For reference, there is a toilet onboard.
