AGADIR, MOROCCO

This tour allows us to view a blend of old and new Morocco. We can enjoy the sweeping view of the city and beaches from the ruins of the old Kasbah, set on a hill where Agadir was situated before the devastating earthquake of 1960

This tour allows us to view a blend of old and new Morocco. Following a brief visit to the fish market, we can then enjoy the sweeping view of the city and beaches from the ruins of the old Kasbah, set on a hill where Agadir was situated before the devastating earthquake of 1960. We then continue to the bustling market town of Inezgane, which developed after the earthquake when many of the survivors sought refuge here. In Inezgane, we will get a glimpse of ancient Moroccan traditions when we stop for mint tea and a folkloric show at a local restaurant. En route back to our ship, we can enjoy a city tour of Agadir, which was rebuilt on a new site following the earthquake.

TOUR NOTES: This tour involves approximately 1 hour of walking, and there are some steps to negotiate both at the Kasbah and Inezgane. For reference, toilet facilities are available at the refreshment stop.
