On the Ocean-View Explorer we will sit 1.2 metres (4 feet) below the surface of the Caribbean Sea in this air-conditioned vessel built to the US Coast Guard’s requirements and regulations to ensure passenger safety, comfort and security. A clear glass panel is located in front of each seat, affording incredible views of the mysterious watery world. Just a few minutes after departure we shall see a sunken plane, originally placed here as part of a Mexican disaster movie. Then it’s off to Paradise Reef, where the incredible views of coral formations are accented at every turn by brilliantly coloured tropical fish. This is the perfect tour for those of us who wish to see the treasures of the Caribbean without getting our feet wet!The duration of this tour depends on where our ship is berthed; a short taxi/minivan transfer may be required. The underwater exploration will last for approximately 75 minutes. There are approximately 10 steep steps leading in to and out of the semi-submersible. Not recommended for passengers with claustrophobia. For reference the boat is equipped with one toilet.
