The important port of Puerto Cortes.
The town itself has a very attractive Plaza, and on offer are some beautiful beaches, lined with tropical palm trees, golden sand and the cool tropical trade winds. From here you can visit the Garifuna communities of Travesia and Bajamar, or enjoy a fun dive in one of the surrounding coral reefs.
