ST GEORGES, GRENADA
The waters surrounding Grenada are home to pilot whales, Humpbacks and dolphins and although there are no guarantees with nature, with luck on our side we should hopefully be able to spot a whale or dolphin today.
Departing from our ship we will board our tour boat and begin our search for Whales and Dolphins! The waters surrounding Grenada are home to pilot whales, Humpbacks and dolphins and although there are no guarantees with nature, with luck on our side we should hopefully be able to spot a whale or dolphin today.Humpback whales are commonly known for the males’ mysterious songs. These songs can run 7 to 15 minutes (sometimes even longer) and contain verses. Our boat is equipped with a hydrophone, so this will help alert our skipper to their whereabouts – we may even get the chance to listen to the sounds these great animals make, through the onboard sonar equipment. Please note that as with all wild animals in their natural environments, sightings can not be guaranteed. Binoculars will add to our enjoyment on this tour and of course, a camera is essential! This tour is not recommended for passengers who are prone to motion sickness, due to the nature of the boats used.
