Our tour proceeds to Rose Hall Great House, which was once home to the ‘White Witch of Rose Hall’. Legend has it that the ‘White Witch’ Annie Palmer murdered her three husbands and numerous slaves who worked the surrounding plantation, before she in turn was murdered, in 1831, by one of her lovers – a cunning slave who decided to exact revenge on her.

From the quayside we pass by the Montego Bay Free Zone, and continue on to Howard Cooke Boulevard, named after the Governor General, the Most Honourable Sir Howard Cooke. We’ll also pass the centre of the city, along the ‘Hip Strip’, by landmarks such as the Casa Blanca – one of the first hotels in Montego Bay – and Doctor’s Cave Beach, once the playground for the rich and famous. Our tour proceeds to Rose Hall Great House, which was once home to the ‘White Witch of Rose Hall’.
