After travelling by open-air safari bus through Tortola’s bustling capital of Road Town, we ascend Fort Hill to scenic Belle Vue. Driving along the Ridge Road, we pass the tiny hamlets of Manchester, Long Trench and Fahie Hill before vistas of Todmans, Meyers and Chalwell come into view prior to stopping at Mountain view at the entrance to the Sage Mountain National Park. Enjoy a complimentary drink while appreciating the views of the surrounding islands before descending the Windy Hill Road to the north shore. Short stops are made along the route for photo opportunities of the surrounding islands. Our tour continues through the quaint coastal fishing villages of Carrot Bay, Apple Bay and Cappoon’s Bay, hugging the north shore before ascending Zion Hill to the western side of the island where we will stop at picturesque Pusser’s Landing. We can enjoy browsing in the intriguing boutiques and spice shops for an unusual souvenir before we return along the scenic coastal road to Road Town.A complimentary ‘shaker’ of Caribbean seasoning will be offered at one of the finest restaurants on the island, located at the highest point in Tortola, with views of Cooper Island, Norman Island, Sandy Cay, Jost Ban Dyke and St Thomas. Our tour ends in central Road Town, where we can investigate the nearby shopping opportunities or return to our ship. There is only a small amount of walking on this tour, but passengers are required to ascend 3 steps to board the open-sided safari buses (which do not have space to store wheelchairs). Please note that some of the tour is over steep, winding roads.
