Touch, feel, taste… Thousands of special moments and a whole city to enjoy them in. The botanical Gardens Huerto Del Cura invites us to experience over 2000 years of history. Elche, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site for its Palmeral and its Misteri Festival, is worthy of special interest on account of its spectacular surroundings, the wealth of monuments and its architecture steeped in history. Elche is completely surrounded by palm trees. The Huerto del Cura garden, home to the Imperial Palm Tree, is the greatest treasure of this palm grove, the largest in Europe. Considered the cultural crucible of the city, this area of 13,000 square metres is home to 700 palm trees and over 500 other species of plants and flowers. Here we will be given some free time to enjoy a walk through the gardens. Elche, is also known as the national footwear capital of Spain and a major exporter to Europe and the rest of the world – so happy shopping! There is a moderate amount of walking involved with this tour and approximately 10 steps to encounter.
