    TOUR I - 4x4 SAFARI TO DUNN'S RIVER FALLS

    Excursions

    • 50-60
    • 5 hours
    • Limited Capacity

We will drive up to the highest viewpoint ‘Murphy Hill’, located 2,000 feet above sea level, where we will be able to look down upon Ocho Rios, our ship, the Blue Mountains and if it’s a clear day maybe even Cuba.

Continuing, we will pass through small villages where we shall learn the history of old churches and discover local marketplaces. During our tour we will also visit one of Jamaica’s largest estates to see the working cattle station and the small coffee plantation. Here we will learn about the various fruits and Jamaica’s great history.

The highlight of our tour will be the world famous Dunn’s River Falls! We will have approximately one and a half hours here to admire the water cascading 600 feet over the giant staircase rocks to the Caribbean Sea. Those feeling adventurous can make the climb up the waterfall, whilst others can view the waterfall from the balconies along the cataract.

Following our enjoyable visit, we will rejoin our jeeps and return to our awaiting ship.

TOUR NOTES: This tour is not considered suitable for passengers with neck or back problems or pregnant ladies due to the bumpy terrain encountered. The minimum age for participation on this tour is six years old. All jeeps – which have steps to board them – are fitted with seatbelts that must be worn at all times. There is a minimum of four and a maximum of eight to ten passengers per jeep. A soft drink will be included. Please be warned that it is both strenuous and slippery to climb the Dunn’s River Falls, however it is certainly a worthwhile and exhilarating experience. The climb will incorporate approximately 200 slippery, wet steps so please exercise extra due care and attention – we recommend that you come already wearing your swimming costume under casual clothes and bring along some shoes that you do not mind getting wet. Don’t forget your towel and adequate sunscreen.
