TOUR E - MANGROVE CANOE
Excursions
- £30-£40
- Approximately 3 hours
- Limited capacity
Our tour will begin with a brief panoramic view of the magnificent city of Cartagena – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We will pass by the San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, situated outside the walled city. Following our short drive through the narrow streets of the walled city, we will arrive at Cueva del Mangular.
Here we shall join our canoes for a journey through mangrove tunnels to Cienaga de la Virgen. A great diversity of birds such as kingfisher, white heron, common laura, pink spatula and pelicans can all be found in this area. Throughout our journey, we will be invited to enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna that encompasses this fascinating eco-system.
TOUR NOTES: Please note that we will spend approximately 45 minutes to one hour in the canoe. Each canoe will hold four passengers. The canoes will be boarded via the pier and passengers will need to step down into each one. There will be a short walk over uneven ground in order to reach the starting point for the canoe tour. We cannot guarantee what flora or fauna might be seen. Before we begin our canoe journey, the tour guide will give an explanation about the ecosystem, the flora and fauna and the Bogador.
