TOUR J - PALMITOS PARK
Excursions
- 6.5 hours
The colourful parrot and exotic bird exhibitions are sure to keep us entertained, and the toucans, emus and pelican lake are a delight to behold. In the aquarium, we find a reproduction of a tropical river with beautifully coloured fish. The meerkats and wallabies are just a few of the beautiful animals that the park offers, with the highlight being the dolphin area.
As well as the wonderful wildlife, Palmitos Park also offers botanical gardens. As we continue our visit, we may discover the orchid house with its delicate blooms, the cactus garden with many interesting plants, and the butterfly house with hundreds of free-fluttering butterflies.
After approximately three hours of exploring independently, we re-board our tour coach for the return journey to the quayside and our awaiting ship.
TOUR NOTES: To get the most out of this tour, there is a considerable amount of walking throughout the park, some of which will be over inclines, and there are a few steps to negotiate. Please note that the drive from the quayside to Palmitos Park takes approximately one and a half hours each way – a comfort stop will not be made en route. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
