A fascinating meeting with Morocco’s blend of old and new, starting with a city tour of modern Agadir, rebuilt on a new site after the devastating earthquake of 1960. Enjoy the sweeping view of the city and the beaches from the ruins of the old Kasbah, set on a hill where Agadir was situated before the earthquake.
A fascinating meeting with Morocco’s blend of old and new, starting with a city tour of modern Agadir, rebuilt on a new site after the devastating earthquake of 1960. Enjoy the sweeping view of the city and the beaches from the ruins of the old Kasbah, set on a hill where Agadir was situated before the earthquake. We will then continue to the bustling market town of Inezgane, which developed after the earthquake when many of the survivors took refuge here. In Inezgane we will gain a glimpse of ancient Moroccan traditions, when we stop for mint tea and a folkloric show. This tour requires approximately 1 ½ hours of walking.
