TOUR B - SOLLER, DEIA & VALLEDEMOSSA
Excursions
- 4.5 hours
- Limited to 100 participants
- Medium/Hard
The vintage carriages have mahogany panels and brass fittings. An approximate one-hour ride will take us across the north west of the island, passing by almond and locust-bean trees, through groves of olive trees, lush villages and pine-covered mountains, before we arrive in Soller. We can enjoy some free time here, where the buildings bear the influence of Gaudi.
Next we board our tour coach and begin a panoramic drive through two villages, Deia and Valldemossa. Our descent takes us along the impressive coast of Mallorca, firstly passing by the picturesque town of Deia, known as the village of artists, which was made famous by the English poet Robert Graves. Once we see the houses of reddish stone, gracefully spread around the church, in the midst of olive and cypress trees, we will be able to understand why. We can enjoy an impressive panoramic view from the Mirador Na Foradada.
Continuing, we proceed to Valldemossa, the highest village of Mallorca, where we will be able to see, from the outside, the Royal Carthusian Monastery, known as La Cartuja, which dates back to the 14th century.
From here, we drive back to the quayside and our awaiting ship.
