Your cruise holiday booking information will provide the latest medical advice, depending on the ports of call for your chosen cruise.
You may well be cruising to the exotic and the tropical, so do make sure you have the right vaccinations. Check your cruise holiday booking guide. We’d suggest that you speak to your GP about 12 weeks before you leave, to ensure you have the most up-to-date information.
Take a look at the Medical Advisory Service for Travellers Abroad, for useful advice.
Be safe on shore
Remember that some foreign countries have different hygiene and safety standards, so take care when you’re on shore - especially with local food and drink. ‘Common sense’ is always the watchword.
Take care to avoid sunburn and UV light reflection from the water as well as from the sun,as this is more likely when you are at sea.
Pack a Health Travel Kit
You may want to consider packing some of the following items when taking a cruise:
- Sunscreen of at least SPF15
- Hand gel
- Insect repellant
