Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines launches new longer cruises brochure – ‘The Voyage of a Lifetime 2013’
Cruise for longer in 2013, on a Balmoral ‘World Cruise’ of a record 112 nights, departing from Southampton on 5th January 2013, and a Black Watch cruise ‘Around Africa’ of 80 nights, also departing from Southampton on 10th January 2013. These two cruises are justifiably described as ‘The Voyage of a Lifetime’, and visit some of the most exotic, colourful and varied places on Earth, including Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam for the first time.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines welcomes new guest-funded RNLI lifeboat in the Kyle of Lochalsh
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is welcoming the launch of its latest guest-funded RNLI lifeboat, which has just been unveiled at the Kyle of Lochalsh, in the Highlands of Scotland. The new lifeboat has been made possible by the generosity of Fred. Olsen guests on board its four cruise ships. In 2009, guests’ donations on board amounted to an amazing £91,000, which enabled Fred. Olsen to reach its target and fund the new £180,000 Atlantic 85 class boat – the fourth to be purchased by Fred. Olsen guests.

Coming to a TV near you Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines launches major advertising campaign
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will be launching its first TV advertising campaign since 2009, using the distinctive, hand-drawn style and strong brand values of its recent highly-successful print campaign. The 30-second advertisements – highlighting the exceptional customer service on Fred. Olsen cruises and access to hundreds of destinations worldwide on smaller ships from UK ports – will appear on a range of daytime terrestrial and digital TV channels from 28th December 2011 to mid-February 2012, falling within the all-important post-Christmas holiday booking period.

Cruise from UK departure ports for your convenience to Worldwide destinations. Ipswich-based Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will commence calls from Harwich International Port in 2013, with 804-guest Black Watch making four turnaround visits to the Essex port in May and June 2013.

Broadcaster Michael Nicholson joins Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Vistas onboard enrichment programme
Cruise to the Mediterranean with the renowned TV correspondent, Michael Nicholson, OBE, MA, who is the latest in a line of glittering speakers to join its Vistas cruise enrichment programme. Michael will be the guest speaker on Boudicca’s 23-night cruise to the Mediterranean, departing from Portsmouth on 12th October 2012.

Lifetime achievement award for Nigel Lingard
After 32 years’ tirelessly promoting travel by sea, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ retiring Sales and Marketing Director, Nigel Lingard, has been recognised with a lifetime achievement award – the Passenger Shipping Association’s (PSA) annual ‘John Lancaster Smith Award’.
