1947 was the peak of the post war baby boom and 2012 will see a record number of British people celebrate their 65th birthday.
If you were one of these Baby Boomers, our congratulations: you were born in austere post-war Britain, you’ve survived the Swinging Sixties, the Three-Day Week, the Miners’ Strike, Black Wednesday and Y2K and – if you’re a man - you are now hopefully looking forward to getting your Old Age Pension!
